Why consider Cyprus for treatment?

Cyprus shore - cosmetic surgery tourism
A temperate climate and 3,000 hours of sunshine each year makes Cyprus an idyllic location for treatment abroad.  Known as the Island of Aphrodite, the country has an abundance of historical sights and activities to entertain and rejuvenate the visitor, as well as glorious stretches of coastline and fresh, clean air due to the lack of heavy industry.

Flying time from the UK to Larnaca is four and a half hours and return flights with British Airways are very affordable, starting from as little as £139 inclusive.  Many patients take advantage of Cyprus’s mild spring and autumn weather and the cheaper air fares at this time.

Nicosia (also known as Lefkosia) is the capital of Cyprus and located at the very heart of the island.  It is a modern sophisticated city and the commercial centre where many cosmetic surgery and dental clinics are located.  Other major towns are Larnaca, Pafos and Limassol (also known as Lemesos), which is a seaside resort on the south coast and another popular location for private health clinics.

Cyprus village
Many Board Certified doctors and surgeons have trained either in the UK or the US and work in modern facilities which are designed for comfort and efficiency, using the latest technology and equipment to provide expert dentistry and cosmetic surgery.  The dental and medical personnel involved in health tourism speak good English.  Cypriots are well known for their hospitality.

Dental treatment is available in Cyprus for a fraction of UK , US and continental prices.  Techniques and procedures are of the highest level and the Nicosia Dental Polyclinic (a specialist dental polyclinic) offer a ten year guarantee for implants.  Laser whitening can cost between £700- £1300 in a private UK clinic but in Cyprus it is just £300.

Cosmetic surgery prices are also very competitive in Cyprus.  In the UK for example, rhinoplasty (nose re-shaping) in a private UK hospital would cost between £3,000 and £4,000, but in Cyprus it costs £1,600 to £2,000*.  In the UK, breast enlargement costs £3,500 to £5,000, but in Cyprus it costs £2,400 to £3,300*.  (* Quotes supplied by Picture Perfect Medical Co-coordinators).
